![]() ![]() I loved the use of Roald Dahl as a character. I'd be very interested to see how people feel who haven't read it, or aren't as familiar with it. With this style of retelling, it was literally like being told the story with some pictures. I wanted to see the circus acts, the effort and consideration put into blinding Khan, I wanted the tension of seeing Henry use his disguises, I wanted to feel the lengths he had to go to to acquire the powers. As such a fan of the story, I have always wanted to see a visual retelling, but I'd have liked for these moments to breathe more. It's obviously incredibly faithful to the story, to the point that it is pretty much an exact retelling (minus a few minor parts and with a couple of additional/alternate lines). ![]() Just finished watching it and I'm not sure how I feel.
